Scopa AI ("the App") is a web-based card game developed by Volodymyr Vovchenko. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. The App operates primarily on your device with no account registration or login required.

Local Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device using your browser's localStorage:

• Game settings - Your preferences such as sound settings, card deck theme, and game options
• Game statistics - Your win/loss record and gameplay history
• API keys - If you choose to use AI opponents, your API keys for third-party AI services (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude) are stored locally on your device

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Third-Party AI Services

The App offers optional AI opponents powered by third-party services. If you choose to use these features, you must provide your own API keys. When you play against AI opponents:

• Game state information is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected
• We do not have access to your API keys or the data exchanged with these services
• Your use of these services is subject to their respective privacy policies:
  • Google Privacy Policy (for Gemini)
  • OpenAI Privacy Policy
  • Anthropic Privacy Policy

Multiplayer Features

If you use the multiplayer feature, the following information is transmitted to our game server:

• A randomly generated player name or nickname you provide
• Game room codes for connecting with other players
• Game actions during multiplayer sessions

No personal information is required or collected for multiplayer functionality. Game session data is temporary and not permanently stored.

Analytics

We use Swetrix, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service, to understand general usage patterns. It collects:

• Anonymous usage statistics (page views, session duration)
• Anonymous gameplay events (that a game was started or completed, together with the game mode and the kind of opponent — computer, AI, or human)
• General device information (browser type, screen size)
• Country-level location (not precise location)

We do not use cookies or persistent identifiers for tracking, and no personal information is included in analytics events. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users. Your browser's "Do Not Track" setting is honored: with it enabled, nothing is tracked. We do not use session recording.

Children's Privacy

The App is a general audience card game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users.

Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend:

• Keeping your device's operating system and browser updated
• Using device security features like screen locks
• Not sharing your API keys with others

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access and delete - Clear your browser's localStorage to remove all App data
• API keys - Remove your API keys at any time through the App's settings

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
